Our favourites

We’d like to share our favourite excursions, with you – as summarised below. We hope you’ll like them as much as we do!

Schenna Waalweg )

1. Evergreen hike

From your apartment you can easily reach the trail through the apple orchards. The refreshing waters of the one-time irrigation canal will help you cool down in summer, while providing a fantastic panorama. The serviced huts along this 6 km walk offer the chance of a rest stop and something to eat.

Taser Alm )

2. For the whole family

The Scena/Schenna Waalweg irrigation channel trail takes you to the Taser cableway station. Why not follow the Waalweg to the station and then take the cable car to the Taser mountain hut. If you’re fit enough, you can hike all the way there (1.5 hours). Once you’ve arrived at the Taser mountain hut you can continue to the Ifinger Hütte mountain hut, to the Streitweideralm pasture, or proceed along the High Mountain Trail to the Gsteier mountain restaurant.

3. Quest for tranquillity

For sports minded hikers and bikers: the 1.5 hour climb to the Berggasthof Gsteier mountain restaurant starts right from our apartments. Your efforts are rewarded with stunning views of the mountains and a feeling of absolute calm. If you still have the stamina to continue further, take the Taser High Mountain trail to the Ifinger mountainhut, or head to the Merano 2000 hiking area via the Ochsenboden.

4. Hiking and biking paradise

Passing Goyen Castle just 2 km as the crow flies, you can also reach the Meran/o 2000 cableway valley station, on foot, by bike, or even by car. Once you’ve arrived, you’ll find approximately 100 km of hiking trails to choose from. These range from easy family walks to long and demanding hikes. Along the way you’ll be accompanied by the ever breath-taking Alpine panorama and customary South Tyrolean hospitality.

Stop for a morning coffee break on the sunny banks of the Passer river and then perhaps do a little shopping under the arcades.
